The first step is to remove the fuel cap. You should then unplug the PP from the ignition and the obd2 port. Then, count to 10. I've had the DPF warning light come on with service light saying risk of particle filter blockage then started to run a bit juddery at all speeds intermittently. A few days ago our 2007 Grand Picasso started pulling a bit (juddering?), whilst driving. We took the car to our Citroen garage, since we were having another problem that needed attention, and we asked them check for this too. Unlike some other DPF implementations (the DPF on the Mazda 6 comes to mind) you won't have many issues with the PSA DPF. Unlike many others, the DPF on a C4 is far more tolerant of large amounts of city driving (I know from experience).
